Oh, I absolutely love newborn sessions! When Ashley reached out to me to document the arrival of their sweet baby girl, Annabelle, I could not have been more honored or excited!! Ashley is an incredible newborn photographer turned lifestyle blogger herself (go check her out at On Pineapple Lane) ! I always feel a little extra pressure when I’m working with fellow photographers, but Ashley and her family are so laid back and kind that I truly felt completely comfortable and at ease with them from the moment I arrived. Their home exudes genuine hospitality and I adored the sweet little southern touches to Annabelle’s nursery, from the soft neutrals and subtle touches of pink to the gorgeous ginger jar accents - all thoughtfully placed. I loved big brother Jack’s energy and enthusiasm which reminded me SO much of our little man. Seeing him with his baby sister made me all kinds of sentimental thinking about the arrival of our own little lady this fall). I told Ashley and her husband, Robert, that I have an overwhelming appreciation for the value of these kinds of sessions (and photography in general) because of how fast time goes. I think it’s never more apparent than seeing how much a little one changes in their first year of life. Enjoy these sweet images of the Powell family and their beautiful new addition!
